Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Implementation Guide and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Planning Tools

xRM is pleased to provide the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Implementation Guide and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Planning Tools to our customers planning for CRM 2011, either as a first-time implementation or as an upgrade from CRM 4.0. These are available in two zip files, detailed below.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Implementation Guide

Microsoft_Dynamics_CRM_2011_IG.zip
The Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Implementation Guide (IG) contains three guides from Microsoft individually covering the Planning, Installation, and Operating phases of a Dynamics CRM 2011 implementation using the partner-hosted or on-premise deployment model (not CRM Online). The three guides are available either combined into a single Compiled HTML Help file (.chm), or as stand-alone Microsoft Office Word documents. The zip file therefore contains four files.

  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Implementation Guide.chm
This single Compiled HTML Help file (.chm) combines all three guides covering the Planning, Installation, and Operating phases of a Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 implementation.
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Planning Guide.doc
This stand-alone Word version of the Planning Guide covers topics including system requirements, supported server and site topologies, and project management. It should be used in tandem with the planning tools described further below.
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Installing Guide.doc
This stand-alone Word version of the Installing Guide covers the installation of CRM 2011. It includes step-by-step instructions for running Setup, command-line installation instructions, and guidance about the removal of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Operating and Maintaining Guide.doc
This stand-alone Word version of the Operating and Maintaining Guide provides information about how to back up, restore, and perform system recovery for, CRM 2011 data. It also contains guidance for troubleshooting known issues.
